Weather Watch has been a jump start for people interested in Broadcast Meteorology at Millersville University ever since it was created in the Spring of 2012. It has grown and keeps growing as a successful weather entertainment show. Please, take a look at the previous and CURRENT season of Weather Watch below. We appreciate it!
There is a lot that goes into Weather Watch.
Season One, our debut season, and featuring some very memorable pieces! We went to AccuWeather, we visited NWS in state college, and we took a look at some extreme flooding that caused local damage in our area due to Hurricane Irene, and much more!
Season two, this season had a trip to WGAL, a candy-filled adventure at Hershey Park, it also included a new fun science segment called The Weather Workshop, and it launched our reoccurring and popular segment the Weather Watch Top 5, and so much more.
Season Three, in this season we took a closer look at the events of Hurricane Sandy, we learned what it takes to be a Weather Ready Nation, we continued following up with the Mythbreakers, and we took a trip to PennDot to see how they prepare for inclement weather, and much more!
Season Four, we took a look at the Oklahoma Tragedy, launched two new reoccurring segments Weather Mysteries, and A Blast From The Past...The History of Meteorology, and we went to the NWS in Sterling, Virginia! We also got an inside look at the DISCOVER-AQ Research project funded by NASA.
Season Five, we revamped the show to suit our viewers demands, we made our run-time shorter but increased the amount of special segments! We brought much more energy to the table in this season. Some of the best pieces were our OWLeS, Polar Vortex, and Gardening pieces!
Season Six, an amazing season filled with 5 full length episodes and 4 short episodes. We revisited the DISCOVER-AQ project, and we also created a parody music video, as well as visiting WGAL. This season had a lot of excitement and has something for everyone!
Season 7, short but sweet! Filled with several intriguing pieces. We also introduced the new short series Spaced Out.
